A Beginners Guide to Getting your Real Estate License
Thinking about getting your Iowa real estate license but not sure where to start? The first step is enrolling in a pre-license real estate class and it’s where your real estate career officially begins.
What Is a Pre-License Real Estate Class?
A pre-license real estate class is a state-required course that prepares you to take the Iowa real estate exam. Before you can become a licensed real estate agent, the Iowa Real Estate Commission requires you to complete 60 hours of approved education.
This course covers the fundamentals of real estate - laws, contracts, ethics, and industry basics, while also giving you a realistic look at what it’s like to work as an agent.
