As a Rookie Realtor in 1982, I wanted to determine what qualifications I would want in a Realtor who would be helping me buy or sell real estate. My pre-Realtor experience was NOT successful: he was a personal friend who did the 3 P’s—put a sign in the yard, put it in the MLS and prayed. His prayers were not answered! ![]()
As a former teacher, I value knowledge so from the very beginning I took way more classes than were required in order to have the knowledge to help my clients. Within a year of obtaining my real estate license, I obtained my Broker’s license. Through the years, I have continued taking more and more classes resulting in the following nationally-recognized designations:
- Broker-Associate
- ABR—Accredited Buyer’s Representative
- APS—Accredited Professional Stager
- CRS—Certified Residential Specialist
- GRI—Graduate of Realtor’s Institute
- SRES—Senior Real Estate Specialist
- NINJA
But knowledge alone doesn’t automatically make one a good Realtor. One has to be able to apply that knowledge successfully. I needed to have experience. One by one I built a loyal customer base by using my knowledge to help my clients navigate through the buying and selling process.
This knowledge plus experience has been a winning combination for achieving success. Success leads to more success as my clients referred me to family, friends and coworkers.
Year after year, decade after decade I have enjoyed helping past clients, their friends, family and co-workers with their real estate needs. Their trust and loyalty is priceless as they know I always have their best interests in the forefront.
