Scott Hagues is a retired U.S. Navy Chief, licensed REALTOR®, and passionate advocate for community, sustainability, and animal welfare. After serving decades in the United States Navy in leadership, communications, and operational management roles around the world, Scott transitioned into real estate with the same mission-focused mindset: serve people with integrity, professionalism, and care.

Now proudly serving Marion, Cedar Rapids, Linn County, and surrounding Iowa communities through Skogman Realty, Scott brings years of real estate experience from both Washington State and Iowa. His background in military leadership and client service allows him to guide buyers and sellers through transactions with strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.

Scott holds the Military Relocation Professional (MRP) certification through the National Association of REALTORS®, helping military members, veterans, and their families navigate the unique challenges of relocation and homeownership. As a retired Navy veteran himself, he understands firsthand the stress and excitement that comes with military moves and transition periods.

He has also earned the NAR Green Designation, reflecting his passion for sustainability, energy efficiency, environmentally responsible housing, and helping clients make smart long-term decisions for their homes and finances. Scott enjoys educating clients about green home features, energy savings, landscaping, and ways to create healthier, more sustainable living environments.

Outside of real estate, Scott has a deep love for gardening, horticulture, landscaping, and supporting local small businesses. He is currently pursuing further education in horticulture and hopes to combine real estate with landscape and outdoor living design in the future.

Animals hold a special place in Scott’s heart. He is deeply passionate about animal rescue, animal welfare, and protecting endangered species. His love for animals has inspired many of his long-term business and community goals, including supporting local rescues and using his platform to advocate for responsible care and compassion toward animals.

Scott believes real estate is about far more than buying or selling a home — it’s about building roots, creating stability, protecting the future, and helping people and communities thrive.
