Whitetail Properties Real Estate is honored to present an opportunity to own one of the nicest building sites we've ever offered in southeast Iowa. Located on the north edge of Keokuk, IA, this well-planned country acreage has pristine hardwood ridges on a private lake. It offers the perfect terrain to build the home of your dreams in a beautiful setting. The property is 35 surveyed acres, and has a private driveway from Wirtz Lane that leads to a ridgetop of Oak timber. Wrapping around the north and east faces of the land is McDowell Lake, a private body of water that is approximately 20 acres and was constructed in the late 1960s. It has a gated driveway, a small pond, and, of course, lake frontage. McDowell Lake is private and only accessible to the homeowner association members. This pristine lake is stocked with crappie, bass, and sunfish. Boats with electric trolling motors are permitted on the lake. Rathbun Rural Water-which is a municipal water source-is accessible to supply a home. A covenant on the deed disallows the property to be used for commercial purposes or building a recreational campground. If you've been waiting years for an opportunity to own a property with a lake to build next to, don't let this chance slip away.
