I was born and raised in North Carolina with lots of family where I learned the importance of family values and for that, I consider myself a true Southern Gentlemen. Understanding the importance of respecting everyone, treating other’s as we would like to be treated and appreciating we are all different has crafted me into the man I am today. My father was my role model and he taught me that doing it right the first time was the only way. This became known as “ The May Way”. Something that I strive to teach my daughter everyday, but she’s soon to be a teenager and “I know nothing”!
My career took off as part-time job with American Airlines. I soon found myself on the way the Texas. Graduated from the University of Texas- Arlington and decided to move into airline management. Each role that I held moved me down a path that required me to do it right the first time, every time. Thanks Dad! My last position allowed me to work with government agencies and form regulatory policy for the airlines. This role required excellent negotiating skills and attention to detail, while ensuring that American had the Best Customer Service in the industry.
During my free time, I like to be present with my daughter enjoying her interest. When that’s not possible, I can be seen enjoying every outdoor sport, but my passion in Golf.
Fast forward, after 26 years, I had an opportunity to retire early, move to Iowa and raise my young daughter. Guess what I chose? Now, that my daughter is older, it is time to start a new career. I knew I loved helping people fulfill their dreams, accomplish their goals and have fun along the way. This is how I came to be your Real Estate Professional.
I chose Skogman Realty for two reasons, the foundation and education for new agents far exceeded the competition, but most importantly, everyone really values the importance of Family. I am very excited about my new career and look forward to meeting you in the future.
My mission statement is quite simple, “To exceed my clients expectations every time and on time, The May Way”.
